[HamBrewers] loss

 

hello , iv just got my foundation .
when i put my swr / power meter just after my handheld radio (it shows 4 watts)......... if i put it just before my antenna ( 20 meters of coax away) i will be able to roughly work out my cable loss (eg from 4 watts down to 2 watts then 3db loss)
Am i right in thinking this ?

For a V-beam, which actually has to be several wavelengths long
and fed from one end, the angle of droop should be 19 degrees.

As to your own question, all the theory for antennae applies to
those that are several wavelengths in free space clear of all
other obstacles.

Any antennae that we do actually put up is always a compromise, usually
being less than a wavelength away from the house, so the answer is,
put it up and have a go.

The essence of Ham Radio is experimentation and not operating, so put it
up, then change it , and compare results!

Hi Pradip ji,

Each RD15HVF1 makes a good drive for a pair of push-pull (SWR
protected) RD16HHF1, Or just parallel 2 x RD15HVF1 for finals (will
work equally well for HF), use trifler turns for auto-transformer at
output (close to 50 ohm impedance), you will also need to re-adjust
'PI' network at it's Gate, thus decreasing capacitance value.

Expect approx 10~12 Watt in Class A @ 13V, if you parallel 2 for 20/40 M.

15W each is only correct in datasheet catalog for Class C, which is
again not suitable for SSB.

causes cancer, brain mental impairment, thyroid problems, liver
problems, disrupt the endocrine system, and birth defects.

Although there is legislation that encourages recycling, repairing,
neutralizing of e-waste, it's our duty to enforce anti- dumping laws,
rather than dumping is necessary.

Please encourage recycling or reuse of E-waste.

Well!!! Talking of learning code, vu3rgk has learnt cw in a unique way.

He has installed an android app in his phone which sends out in CW @ around 18-20WPM, the name of the caller (if its in his phone book) or the phone number (if its an unknown no). In the process he has  learnt all of the alphabets and numbers only the special characters and pro-sign remains.

How is that !!!!
