Brian,
You could look up the manual / schematic of Collins 51J4 (old boat anchor) which is a permeability tuned receiver.
Great guitar homebrewing Brian!
Cheers

Re: [HamBrewers] Permeability tuned VFO
Hi Brian,
The original Bingo transceiver used a PTO for its VFO, so you should have more informations around it.
Reading the Bingo documentation is a pain however, and it is written in french (well some kind of french).
Lately F6BCU "invented" the Si570 and dropped the PTO thing.

Yan.

[HamBrewers] Permeability tuned VFO
Hello All,
I've recently become interested in the possibility of home brewing a permeability tuned vfo for use as the basis for a glowbug transmitter. I've searched the usual sources for information on the design of permeability tuned circuits, and have found some information, but would like to gather more so that I don't end up re-inventing the whee!
Does anyone know of a reference in a text, or a magazine publication on the subject, or have some personal experience building them?
Many thanks!
Brian Burns
