Raj,
I would appreciate more info as homebrewing Elektor kits is fun. Do these "new people" have an address and telephone number, or better still a website??

- Pat,
- The new people are also selling kits, I thought they were expensive!
- LOL! Thanks for the info Raj. They didn't have the grace to return our money, assuming of course that its a company and not a sole propietorship in which case I wouldn't have felt so bitter. On the brighter side am glad that there are some excellent ham radio kits in the Indian market these last few years.

- The Elektor people wound up. There was a chap heading it I have forgotten his name and he passed away and the whole operation wound up. I lost 850 on a subscription!
- Now Elektor is being published by its parent company. Bi-monthly and glossy. Old articles only!
- Best regardsees too.

The kits that they sent were flawed with parts missing or are incompatible. For instance, a 20m CW-SSB elektor receiver kit I homebrewed blew up in my face when the supposedly JFET frontend transistor BF256B was replaced with a BF199 (a bipolar coded as F99 on the surface). The kits are not assembler friendly unlike the Visha and Vegakits I have been used to. Have any of you had experiences like mine with Century??

Hi all,

Re: [HamBrewers] Neosid 5061
Thanks Raj, very useful datasheet. I had measured and posted the info in the files section. I'll add this too..
Please note that your email now appears in "Fwd: CAR LOCK-VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION " thread because you simply deleted the contents and posted a new thread. May I remind our hambrewers to start a new discussion thread with a "compose new mail" and not reuse old emails as that wont help the environment. I sometimes reuse only words and letters from old emails instead of discarding them :-)).
