The Elektor people wound up. There was a chap heading it I have forgotten his name and he passed away and the whole operation wound up. I lost 850 on a subscription!
Now Elektor is being published by its parent company. Bi-monthly and glossy. Old articles only!
Best regardsees too.

The kits that they sent were flawed with parts missing or are incompatible. For instance, a 20m CW-SSB elektor receiver kit I homebrewed blew up in my face when the supposedly JFET frontend transistor BF256B was replaced with a BF199 (a bipolar coded as F99 on the surface). The kits are not assembler friendly unlike the Visha and Vegakits I have been used to. Have any of you had experiences like mine with Century??
