Congrats Ravi on your accomplishment. However India is a land of wonders and miracles, anything can happen here... below are a few samples..
I must say that the British system is truly pathetic, they took 5 days for all of these days. They should come to India and learn from the WPC and all other Indian government establishments.
Our WPC is truly loyal to the queen of England, they work on rules made in the original 1871 wireless telegraphy act introduced by the British when they had completed fighting Tipu sultan in Mysore ( give or take 50 years ).
Look at our police rules which were introduced by the british to keep the colonial slaves under control, we are proudly following the very same rules with a little bit of desi remix here and there. Of-course there are some miracles happening in Tihar jail as of yesterday when a 5 ft guy jumped and hanged himself from a 10 ft window using only one hand, succeeded killing himself (?) I am sure this feat can be introduced into the next olympics and medals made out of all metals will be ours!!
Lastly, an orissa nut raped a german tourist after he did his engineering, ran away while on parole, went underground and did MBA, passed banking exams and got recruited into State bank of Travencore ( which even the native Malayalis find it impossible).
I am sorry, I ranted all these.. I got frustrated trying to get a WPC license to clear a weather radar along with a DME, VOR/ILS stuff for the morning qth for the past 2 years!!!
What a legacy the Brits left us with... I only wish Winston Churchil was alive to see the fruition of his prophetic words...

I attended the foundation course conducted by the club G3EFX for 2 hours per week. After a short practical setting up a radio station, connecting the various items, tuning a station, completing two contacts one HF other VHF and bit of practice tests. The final exam was 25 questions in 45 minutes which I completed in 10 mins, I passed.
The results were announced in 15 mins after completing the exam.
The callsign will be alloted in one or two days max 5 working days after the exams.
How's that for speed??
The intermediate exam will be in 4-6 weeks and the callsign will be reissued on successful completion.
