We don't have any laid out rules for band segments. The segments used are by convention. 40M is 7-7.2 and anything goes anywhere is my experience.

Is he correct, though, when he indicates the operating frequency for the transceiver is 7.050 to 7.072? If so, the KN-Q7 won't be usable in the United States for phone (voice) SSB. Here, everything below 7.125 is authorized for CW, RTTY, and digital modes only. LSB can be used for the digital modes, but phone is definitely not permitted.

What are the rules in New Zealand, India, etc.?
