Indian Space Research Organisation's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-C6, carrying India's remote sensing satellite CARTOSAT-1 and a micro satellite HAMSAT, blasted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on Thursday at 10.22 hrs IST and HAMSAT was inserted to a Near Circular Sun Synchronous Polar Orbit (628 kms) at 10.41 hrs IST.

HAMSAT VO-52 Completes 6 Years

Today, HAMSAT is entering into its 7th year after successfully completing six years of fruitful service in the orbit. Our good wishes & greetings to 'HAMSAT VO-52' to remain in orbit with good health for many more years .
