For 24 volts in series, their earthing must be isolated from each
other. Also modern ones needs extra loading if not used with PC.
:-)

However 24 can be have from single PC SMPS without any modifiction by
using +12 & -12 volt pins. Note -12 volt can handle much greater
ampre then recomded (study systametic they both same). Need not worry
auto shut down is there. Added extra capacitor & chokes for filtering
is an extra advantage.

Readily available multi port Laptop smps also comes up to 24 volt ratings.

Am also not an expert, just sharing some practical homebreawing experience.
